It's all about them.

I think a perfect example of that mentality comes from HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson, who I find is a disgrace to my race.

Last year, he said he was advising Bush on how to get the Black vote in the election. And he said he told Bush to forget about appealing to older African-Americans who came up during the civil rights movement.

He told Bush to concentrate on younger African-Americans.

He said "You can't rise as a class. You have to rise individually. It's what the civil rights people don't understand."
