Is there any doubt that Cheney is really the president?

US monitored Muslim sites for radiation -report

<snip>

WASHINGTON, Dec 23 (Reuters) - U.S. officials have secretly monitored radiation levels at Muslim sites, including mosques and private homes, since Sept. 11, 2001 as part of a top secret program searching for nuclear bombs, U.S. News and World Report said on Friday.

The news magazine said in its online edition that the far-reaching program covered more than a hundred sites in the Washington, D.C., area and at least five other cities.

"In numerous cases, the monitoring required investigators to go on to the property under surveillance, although no search warrants or court orders were ever obtained, according to those with knowledge of the program," the magazine said.

...

The program has also operated in at least five other cities -- namely Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, New York, and Seattle -- when threat levels there have risen, it said.

One source quoted by the magazine said the targets were almost all U.S. citizens.

Vice President Dick Cheney was among those briefed on the monitoring program, the publication said.

Why are his prints on ever scandal to come out of DC?

1. Even more important ... has Cheney's undisclosed location been
monitored for radiation?

How else do they keep that SOB alive?

Frankly, nothing this Administration does shocks me anymore.

2. George, the half-wit prince, must have been out riding his bicycle.
Yep, it's clear who's in charge.

3. I may be mistaken but I read somewhere we have surveillance planes flying
over major cities with radiation detection technology. It would not surprise me if these planes had "hits" and needed to be checked out more closely.

I don't have a real problem if the government is monitoring radiation levels in major cities. How many people can explain why they have high levels of radiation readings coming out of their basement.

BTW, why does that make Cheney the President. I would expect him to be briefed. The better question is: Is bush being briefed?

6. Radon and plutonium are a tad different
Radon is present to a very small trace extent in the atmosphere and in principle could be obtained as a byproduct from the liquefaction and separation of air. However as only small quantities are ever needed in practice, and because of its short half life (the longest life isotope has a half life of less than 4 days), such quantities as are required are isolated through collection from the radioactive decay of an isotope of radium (226Ra, half life 1599 years).

226Ra 222Rn + 4He

Plutonium was the second transuranium element of the actinide series to be discovered. By far of greatest importance is the isotope 239Pu, which has a half-life of more than 20000 years. One kilogram is equivalent to about 22 million kilowatt hours of heat energy. The complete detonation of a kilogram of plutonium produces an explosion equal to about 20000 tons of chemical explosive. The various nuclear applications of plutonium are well known. The isotope 233Pu was used in the American Apollo lunar missions to power seismic and other equipment on the lunar surface. Plutonium contamination is an emotive environmental problem.

One is a gas the other is metal.

One can give you lung cancer, the other can turn you into a superheated ball of carbon atoms formerly called a human being
