You might say, so what? But if you notice that the rates are higher on the 2 and 3 year notes than are on the 10 year note. Again, you might say, so what? This means that there is more risk in 2 to 3 years than there is in the long term. In the business it is known as an inverted yield curve. While I am no expert, most of the experts say that that indicates a slow down, maybe even a recession in the next couple of quarters. So the summer of 206 looks to be pretty bad if you are a consumer.
