9. One Of The Effects Of This Spying On Americans Is That Those Of...
us who were screaming about it since 9/11 were marginalized as nuts. Well, I'm glad to have been vindicated in my claims... but I've been seriously hassled, and I'm not going to ever get over this. These are the repressive measures of a totalitarian government. I'm seriously pissed-off.

10. Of course not, tinfoil hats are tacky, tacky, tacky
Those of us who realize that paranoia has become fully justified fear prefer the aluminum colandar. Not only is it ventilated, an advantage in warmer parts of the country, the upturned "feet" are convenient for attaching seasonal decorations like tinsel, Easter Peeps, bunting, and Valentine hearts.

15. The reason people become paranoid...
is that once in a while, they turn out to be right.

If you start getting the creepy feeling you're being watched -- and you find out you ARE! -- suddenly you begin to take that creepy feeling very seriously.

I think every conspiracy theory needs to considered on its own merits, not dismissed simply because it's "tinfoil."

16. MIT said tinfoil is no good to stop the waves
things have been swept under the carpet, stonewalled for years by this administration. It is only now that it is getting slowly un-zippered. Just wait til we hear all about 9/11 and what really went on!

19. I've been part of the MIHOP crowd for the past year..
But just remember, at one point, the thought that Bush lied us into war was considered tinfoil...as was the idea that he was spying on American citizens.

20. The problem is "CONSPIRACY" has now been extended
from where it used to mean "people convinced that aliens were secretly running over the government" to suddenly include anyone who simply realizes that powerful rich people will rig elections and lie on TV to keep power.

The "tin foil hate crowd" isn't made up of old coots talking about crop circles or inventing fake jewish texts...it's now a label applied to those who actually read the WSJ and WPO and go "OH SHIT" when they read that Bush lied about WMD.

I recently had a friend call me a conspiracy nut because I claimed WMD were not the reason why Bush invaded Iraq...I've had others give me funny looks when I tried (in relatively simple terms) to talk about Diebold.

Strangely...in each of these cases I was totally vindicated. But I don't get the feeling that their attitudes have changed. And I'm not over-eager in expressing myself. I usually just say, hey did you hear about this? You ought to read up on it.

26. People who dare to step outside the box
We are taught to stay in line with everyone else, even though they say it is ok to march to the beat of a different drummer, they don't mean it. Those who dare to think outside the box are the discovers of tomorrow's cancer cure and other revelations in life.

30. On behalf of all Patriots, I humbly accept your apologies
I recently wondered why I didn't partake in all of my Father's hobbies, it's because research and knowledge of the world I live in are much more attractive options for me.

The term "tinfoil hat" is thrown around alot these days mostly out of ignorance, but apathy and embarrassment are probably just as much to blame.

Hungry. Me eat.
