I imagine the pit of an overripe peach would do more damage than the squishy outer part. Maybe that's why "pitch" contains the word "pit?"

I misread your last subject line as That's it, you are definitely on the team now....

...so that's the reason for the reference to Little League. Now however, the "flow of logic" has been somewhat disrupted due to my editing the message while you were responding to it which might cause some confusion to other DUers. Sorry :blush:
