Gift Ideas for the Naughty, Nice...and Indicted
By Bruce Kluger & David Slavin posted over at Huffington's:

Holiday Gift Ideas for the Naughty, Nice...and Indicted

Here are a few good ones, but there's LOTS MORE!

...Given that it's hard to giftwrap a knuckle sandwich or a swift kick in the pants, we figured these presents might be just what the doctor--or Jack Abramoff--ordered:  ....

Condoleezza Rice:  Barnes&Noble.com gift-bag for those endless flights to the Middle East: The Joys of Yiddish, Reading Lolita in Tehran and Chicken Soup for the Shiksa Secretary of State.
Scooter Libby: "Twelve lawyers billing, 11 spinners spinning, 10 lackeys leaking..."  ....
Bob Woodward: A better story.  ....
Tom DeLay: Box set of DVDs to wile away all that free time: Cool Hand Luke, Shawshank Redemption, I Am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang, Bad Girls Reformatory...
Sen. Bill Frist: Martha Stewart's upcoming autobiography.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton: Born To Run CD/DVD reissue.
Sen. John McCain: Ditto.  ....
Scooter Libby: "...four calls to Judy, three calls to Matt, two to Karl Rove..."

Many more...

Enjoy!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!  :grouphug:

1. "Reading Lolita in Tehran" is a great book
that would be utterly wasted on a psalm singing dimwit like Rice.

It details the rise to power of the religious ignoramuses after the Shah had been deposed, and is a cautionary tale for the US and the Dominionist movement.

The title refers to an underground literature group who gathered in homes to read forbidden Western literature and discuss it.

I guess this "humorist" has never read the book. Typical.

2. Maybe they're just using the title
in a general way - I've never read the book.

Anyway, I thought most of it was pretty funny. I dunno, maybe I have a strange sense of humor?
