Oh sorry bugman: Appeals court rejects Tom DeLays bid......
AUSTIN, Texas (Dec. 22) - A Texas appeals court on Thursday rejected a bid by U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay to get a speedy trial on a money-laundering charge lodged against the powerful Republican lawmaker.
DeLay had sought an quick trial on the charge in the hopes that an acquittal would allow him to return to his post as U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader next month.

........ Looks like the criminal law process might just drag on through out your entire campaign for re-election... ever hear of karma?

2. but did you see the follow-up to this?
I don't have a link handy, but last night in these forums I read that DeLay and Deguerrin were appealing this decision to the next appeals court, which consists of some ungodly number of Republicans. We'll see, I guess.

4. I don't think Supreme Courts like to overturn other judges just for the
hell of it.

This seems like just a spoiled brat's attempt to get special treatment from the courts.

I can't see a higher court overturning their judicial colleagues for that.

Of course, this is DeLay, so I could be wrong.
