Who are the Best Constitutional Scholars?
Lets make a list...which may be a short list at that....

We need to identify them and organize a think tank group. We must address this right wing spin and come up with a legal plan of action as indicated by the Scholars.

Okay, lets identify them....

4. Thank you very much
I mean it sincerely. I'm very fond of the constitution. And I find it a shame that so many people in this country who bray about their awesome patriotism would like to replace it with their religious guidance book. Without the constitution we would not have religious freedom. Some folk just don't get it, or more aptly, are trained not to get it.

7. Seconded. Posthumously, it would Supreme Court Justice Benjamin
Cardozo. Go to your county courthouse law library and read some of his opinions. He'll teach you more about the Constitution than any of your professors ever could.

I'm still at work so I only get to pop-in at my thread. I bet these fine gentlemen are meeting over the holidays to discuss a strategy....Byrd, Kennedy, Tribe.....I sure hope so.

Any other options?

8. I've been impressed with
Johathan Turley from George Washington University. I saw him on O'Reilly and he calmly and articulately dismantled all of O'Reilly's spin on how what Dubya did was really ok. O'Reilly was clearly perturbed at the answers but at least he diddn't yell, shut up to Turley.

I like the fact that he is trying to answer the larger question about what is going on, than just reflexively being against it because it was done by bush.
I also agree with him, that the whole context of the action cannot be judged without knowing a larger extent of the NSA's evesdropping and who that evesdropping included.
