All they have to do is just SAY IT, and...
The American media will report it. They don't wait to see how many troops will actually come home. They report it because Bush and Rummy said it was going to happen. Now, every war supporter, and those on the fence, will see this as victory.

Did anyone in the media report that we are bringing troops home because the elections are over, and those that were there to protect during this time are coming back home. This is not a withdrawal, but a draw down back to the numbers we had a few months ago.

The media is nothing more than a propoganda tool for the Bush Administration; NOTHING MORE.

1. Liek Krugman says,
If * were to declare that the earth is flat, the next AM's headlines would read "Opinions Differ On Shape Of Earth". And pretty soon the fundies would be screaming to have "flat earth" science books replace the truth.

2. Thank you...
I'm just amazed at how EVERYONE in the media goes along with the current days headline. I rarely here any of them question the story or why it was reported.

5. We have 160,000 troops in Iraq now.
They will reduce the numbers back down to 138,000 which is how many have been in country prior to elections in Iraq. The media is making is sound like we are almost done in Iraq and we are bringing troops home. What a farce.

7. The article I read stated that it would bring troops to just
under the 138,000 level. I see this simply as a spin tactic for publicity, especially since they have been saying all along that they would bring down the levels a bit after the election. They further have not provided any information regarding further withdrawal. It is not a change. It is not a victory for us.

Besides, those extra troops will be needed for Syria and Iran. :sarcasm:
