Face it, if the NYTimes revealed wiretapping by Clinton
We would have had hearings, impeachment vote AND a trial already

Frist and Delay and Hastert would have kept Congress in session 24/7 and it would be winding down by now

And if any repuke tells you any different they are lying sacks of s***

2. They would be screaming from the mountaintops.
The republicans would be standing in the well of the Senate waiving the Constitution in the air, tears streaming down their checks, turining their heads towards the heavens and asking God to save America. These people make me sick.

6. And if Clinton did this I would be the first calling for impeachment.
What President Clinton does on his own time is was his own buisness. I will not stand for domestic spying regardless of any party which did it. I really miss the days of Bubba he was a good president and a great man. Despite his flaws.

8. George W. Bush has made Clinton a far better President than he was.
While I like and voted for Clinton both times, and I would also be one of the first to call for the impeachment of any President for whom I voted, it seems clear to me that the Inquisition to which he was unrelentingly subjected and the abomination that follows him has reactively created a far more rosy view of his performance. In my view, he did not move the 'rights of man' forward at all and corporatism continued to thrive if not expand. The Telecommunications Act was an atrocity. "Don't Ask; Don't Tell" is an abominable policy. At the same time, the economy thrived. Thus, I'd give him an "A" on fiscal policy, a "C" on economic policy, and a "D" on social policy. I speak, of course, from a liberal perspective. I couldn't care less how many blowjobs he got. I would have come great concerns if I thought Paula Jones' suit had any merit whatsoever - on-the-job sexual harrassment is not someething I dismiss. It didn't and she didn't. That's clear.

Clinton was a baby-boomer from the working class. He wasn't one of America's 'ruling class.' The entitlement-obsessed oligarchs and plutocrats detested him for that.

11. Clinton Couldn't Have Hidden Anything
Look at how many investigations happened during those years. All it took was the sniff of anything near questionable and Disco Danny Burton was issuing subpoenas and holding hearings, Larry Klayman was deposing everyone and anyone in his frivilous civil suits and a highly partisan and over-zealous "independent prosecutor" who was desperate for anything.

Had there been any illegal wiretapping, Right wing hack (paid-for) "journalists" would have leaked this story like a sieve and Repugnicans would be taking to the talk shows in droves to demand more investigations, resignations, crucifixions and other sacrafices. The coordinated howl would be relentless and the corporate media would increase the volume with their own "polls" and specials. "A President In Crisis" would surely be the title.

Just look at how hard they tried to link Indonesian and Chinese money to Clinton and Gore. Phone records, financial disclosures and tons of documents were subpoenaed and leaked that were strictly intended to embarass and create the illusion of corruption where none really existed. Now this machine works in reverse...

12. They would have proclaimed a National Holiday...
And, they would have already be-headed Clinton for high crimes and treason. Frist, Delay, and Hastert would have given themselves a Medal Of Honor for their heroic stand against fascist tyranny on the American People. School children would have sung songs about heroes in the Republican Party who rose to defeat President Clinton. Their mantra would be parroted non-stop by the MSM for the next hundred years.

Meanwhile since Shrubby did it, the Republican Culture of Corruption and their Propaganda MSM rally their support of an Evil Tyrant.
