20. They're usually closed, too
Not enough business to justify opening. People want turkey or ham or something heavy and European, not Asian food.

5. Try Chinese, they're usually open ...
I always think of the Simpsons where they parody a Wal-Mart store at Christmas, with a big banner in the front of the store saying:

"In honor of the birth of our Savior, we will be open Christmas day".

6. Did you try a Chinese restaurant? It worked in...
...A Christmas Story when they were in a pinch. But then again, there wasn't a "War on Christmas" in that time period!

9. Great scene in a great movie!
I've already watched it once this non-denominational pagan holiday celebration season and hope to again before we open gifts under the tree of life and give praise to Mother Earth.

11. LOL!
Anyone here remember Cynical Man? Indie comic in the late 1980s whose motto was "Have a Day". He was always drawn with a straight line for a mouth. Maybe he should be the mascot in the nondenominational interfaith celebration.

18. OMG, I had totally forgotten about Cynical Man
Wasn't there a Stupid Boy as well? And another one whose catch phrase was "The things I put up with."? Can't remember them now. I have all those little comic stashed away someplace. Thanks for the reminder.

7. I don't know about your area
But there are usually a few Chinese and Indian restaurants open around where I live. Also, if there are any areas nearby with a significant Jewish population, there might be some places open there as well.

13. Hotel restaurants are usually open on holidays
because they have to feed the people who happen to be staying there.
