Dick Cheney flies over from Saudi just in time to dick everyone...
...who would happen to need such things such as Medicaid, Medicare, student loans, and other such frivalities.

WASHINGTON Dec 21, 2005 — The Republican-controlled Senate passed legislation to cut federal deficits by $39.7 billion on Wednesday by the narrowest of margins, 51-50, with Vice President Dick Cheney casting the deciding vote.

The measure, the product of a year's labors by the White House and the GOP in Congress, imposes the first restraints in nearly a decade in federal benefit programs such as Medicaid, Medicare and student loans.

"This is the one vote you'll have this year to reduce the rate of growth of the federal government," said Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, in a final plea for passage.

Hey Dick, I have an idea. If you want to cut the federal deficit, how about revoking those top 1% tax cuts, stop spending hundreds of billions on an illegal war, and put those billions in kickbacks you are receiving from Halliburton toward the deficit.

2. Cheney was in Saudi (Arabia)?
Edited on Thu Dec-22-05 01:34 PM by KansDem
What was he doing there? Getting Bush's latest marching orders?

And how about this statement about ANWR:
The issue remained in doubt, however, when Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist signaled he may call for a second vote quickly.

"Frist signaled he may call for a second vote quickly"--What's this all about? Are Frist's sugardaddies getting impatient? Is Frist fearing the "pretzel treatment" that Bush got in 2002?

Bush was slapped around a bit after his sugardaddies grew impatient with his handling of their agenda...

edited to correct subject/verb agreement.
