W. Christopher Epler

This isn't politics anymore. This is psychology. We have to very seriously entertain the possibility that we really do have another mad King George.

Imagine having George Bush for a neighbor. Imagine someone who thinks his designer religious cult gives him the right to lie to America at will. Imagine someone who believes because he was born into a pig rich family, itís ok for him to slaughter our children in foreign oil wars to make the pig rich friends of his pig rich family, pig richer. Imagine someone who doesn't answer to the laws and constitution of ANY country or international community.

"Above the law." Interesting phrase, don't you think? Above the law as in god-like? How about it George? A tad messianic, wouldn't you say? Seeing any haloes in the mirror these days?

1. I'd be shocked if he doesn't already think he's the Second Coming

Remember all those Potemkin town meetings? Those carefully orchestrated campaign rallies? Those people were testifying, arms raised into the air, just like they do in their fundy churches. Since we're dealing with a man of sharply limited wit and probable organic mental disease caused by alcoholism, the leap to thinking that he's owed actual worship isn't a big one for him.

4. "I, Claudius".
I remember the original BBC version of this and I am struck by the similarities as when Caligula called Claudius and other ministers in to see his "transformation" into a God...the title of that particular episode, By Jove, it's Zeus!" I suspect that with enough ass-kissing, Bush will soon discover his own transformation, or, maybe Karen Hughes and Harriet Meirs will have to point it out to him.

5. I thought W declared himself Jesus earlier this year.

Anyone else remember that the first thing he did right after his $40 million inaguration was that he called a pro-life rally outside the White House just to say hi?

Add the $40 million inaguration on top of that. And then add the Terri Schiavo debacle in where he actually thought he was Jesus... sheesh. It's no wonder we havent been like Julius Caesar where we rise up as one and slay him.

6. Chimp thinks he is so wonderful. I doubt he would want to "lower" himself
to JC's level. In his mind anyway...

9. I have been thinking about the comparison to mad King George
for quite a while. We really have come full circle in this country. Maybe we need to call Republicans "Tories".

BUSH CHANGING HIS NAME TO 'GOD'

By JAKE ANDERSON

In a major sign that President Bush believes he has a huge mandate from his reelection, he's changing his name to "God."

"Bush has already remarked that God wanted him to be President," a top cabinet official says. "By changing his name to 'God,' he's just making it official."

Bush feels this will cement his authority, says the official. "Bush can't wait to send a bill to Congress and say, 'Pass it. It's God's will.'

"He told me, 'Whenever Democrats raise objections to my plan to privatize Social Security, I'll just point to our currency where it says 'In God We Trust' and say, 'See? It says In ME we trust.' And when protesters insist I should be impeached for lying about the war in Iraq, I'll remind them that the Pledge of Allegiance says that the U.S. is 'one nation, under ME

13. He must be Jesus, he's perfect, he never makes mistakes, only
the other mortals around him fuck up....He does miracles all the time, always in the center of huge lies and cover-ups, yet nothing ever sticks (non believers say it's because of the republican corporate media). I know better..
