I believe that the president should suspend the Bill of Rights
until America no longer has any enemies. The founding fathers clearly did not intend it to apply during times when we have enemies.

11. do a search

It's not a public quote and who knows but it is attributed to his own people saying that he said "I am the commander in chief and I want it done, the constitution is just a God damn piece of paper!"

just google the quote I've seen it reported a couple of places.

Who knows if he did or did not say it, I wouldn't be surprised if he did since his actions have shown the exact sentiment.

9. Silly?
I'd rather stay in my silent room with my government watching at me, over me, and out for me than for terrorists to take away my freedoms.

14. okay, so you'd prefer the government to take your freedoms instead of the
terrorists? When the government takes away your freedoms, the terrorists have won.

12. "The R Document"
by Irving Wallace is an interesting novel in which the director of the FBI encourages the president and congress to temporarily suspend the bill of rights in an attempt to stall the crime wave. Pretty darn prophetic, I'd say.

13. The Bill of Rights is a quaint ideal from the past....
we live in a different world now, we can't afford our freedom any longer, costs too much.

15. Agreed... It's not worth defending...
and the fact that we cling to them makes us look like fools to the rest of the world.
