I'm seeing it in chatrooms all over the internet: the dittoheads are lost without their leader. They wander around waiting for a sign to tell them what to say and what to think. But alas, the skies are as empty as their heads.

This is a very good time to pour it on. "Nyah nyah," I say. "Bush lied, thousands died." And they are totally stuck for an answer. These people are as doped-up as the 'Contin Connoisseur himself.

In other good news .... Bush won't be getting a parade in England after all, it's too controversial. The English know all about the dodgy dossier, they've heard quite enough already. And they have enough of their own liars without importing George Bush.

Here's what Bush has to defend:

• the jobless recovery in the economy
• the unnecessary war and the daily casualties
• the divisiveness that's taken over American society since the impeachment
• the fact that things have gone from bad to worse since Bush took office
• the plain nastiness of Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, and the rest of the people around Bush.

And that's just for starters.

We just have to sell the American people on the idea that brighter days are ahead. All you have to do is pull the lever for the Democrat.

15. Rush Is a Laughing Stock

Rush is finished the way Bill Bennett is finished. Neither one of these guys will be taken seriously again.

Bennett, the author of preachy tomes with oh-so-elevated names like The Book of Virtues, regularly made all the talk shows to disparage Bill Clinton. And it turns out Bennett's a big time gambler, being comped with free meals and who-knows-what-else.

Has Oxy Con Man has pulled a Bill Bennett on us? You betcha. He'll be stuck in rehab until the end of November.
