What Repug Phrase or Saying Bothers you the most?
There are lots of them and I hear them all the time. The ones that bother me the most are ones that flat out lie, which is about 95% of them. Here are few that really make me grind my teeth.

"GOP-Grand Old Party"/ Wrong, the Democrats have been around longer

"God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve" Wrong and biggoted

"You are either with us or against us" Illogical, one can be against thethe US and against Terrorism.

"Abortion is the murder of a baby"

"Democrats are the party of tax and spend"

"The death penalty deters crime"

Can you add any more that drive you up the wall?

Mike

Both are oxymorons...

The Help America Vote Act pays for rolling out PC Voting (BBV) systems which commonly don't produce voter-verifyable paper-trails.

You don't need me to tell you about that Liberal Media myth they created.

20. "That works for me!"
Huh? It's like a substitute for thinking. Some right winger says something that's so illogical it just leaves your head spinning. And then another right winger pipes up, "TWFM!" It's like a punctuation mark, telling you to go no farther, because if you did try to figure out what was meant, the absense of reason and logic would quickly dawn on you. So someone has to throw that in before thoughts start to develop and solidify.

Anybody who speaks against the administration during a war is unpatriotic.

Anybody who speaks against the administration during a war are guilty of treason.

Anybody who speaks against the administration during a war are un-American.

Anybody who dissents simply hates Bush and is into Bush-bashing.
(Like maybe Clinton wasn't--especially by that addict who raved while under the influence to his ditto heads.)

And lastly, whenever the repugs rewrite history as it is being made. I mean, I can deal with revisionist ancient history, but when they start rewriting history from six months ago, it is toooooooooooo insulting.

"The founders of this country created our nation as a Judeo-Christian Nation" - Bible-thumpers

Well, many of them happened to be of some sect of Christianity and I am sure some of them wanted religion in government, yet that pesky 1st amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." Them and the states even ratified that pagan document. Even if they all did want a Judeo-Christian nation, there is no chance that they could have been wrong about anything. That whole 3/5ths of a person should still be going on today "/sarcasm off"

Designed to stifle dissent and coerce rally-around-the-(p)resident goose-stepping. Also reinforces NATIONALISM, which is an even more murderous '-ism' than sexism and racism. That is why 'patriotism' is such a revolting way of thinking. Nation states are the last artificial division of humanity meant to create giant warring gangs who kill each other to support the shithead in the power seat.

31. Yeah. I totally agree with these.
Excellent choices.

  • If we support them, why won't we feed them?
  • At least with Fox, statistics prove we're getting the most effective misinformation out of a group of media outlets which are all trying to outdo each other in terms of misinforming the public
  • Presuming 9/11 even would have happened, I really enjoyed watching my president run around America like a freaked out bunny all day on 9/11, and those were a series of pretty uninspiring speeches 'til they gave him that bullhorn, and that was just shameful -- yeah, it's great that we have a former college cheerleader as president. those skills came in handy!
  • The special of privilege of having the constitution apply to you!
  • ditto
  • Please don't remind us about race

37. The Republican Party is the Party of Personal Responsibility
The Republican saying that the GOP is the party of personal responsibility is the one that's currently annoying me. After watching Dubya's and the Far Right's tap dance about the effects of the Iraq War and federal deficits ballooning bigger than Daddy Bush's ever did, that slogan is a mjor contender for rank hypocricy.

"Get Over It" comes in second.
