Know what's amazing? 2 mothers were the tipping point.
First Cindy Sheehan, then Mother Nature. Reading today's editorials, feels like a new MSM!

2. and a brain-dead woman
Edited on Sun Dec-18-05 05:03 PM by OKNancy
I think the turning point was Terry Schiavo. That's when a lot of non-political people woke up and realized just how the far right could affect THEIR lives, and how the nut-ball faction was a threat.
Also, the press started asking questions.

4. Cindy Sheehan???
Cindy has pretty much marginalized herself.

I know that sucks, but ask any person who is not politically tuned in and they go "Cindy who" or "isn't she that mother that went over the edge because her son died in Iraq"

The MSM will turn on you like a pit bull.

8. Believe what you want,

I'm not buying anything from Faux news, but most people don't see Cindy Sheehan as a tipping point, they have empathy for her, but that's about it. 90 % of people are political dunces, they don't see Cindy Sheehan as a political icon.

I live in the real world and work with real people everyday. I meet probably 200 to 300 people a week in my work, all types of people, so I think I have a pretty good feel for the general pulse out in the non cyber world.

9. Cindy who is true, But it's true of a lot of stories like...
Gannon? what?

'heckuva job, Brownie' is lost on a lot of people. i've tried it.

Downing Street Memo?

People just aren't paying alot of attention. I think there is truely a sense that things aren't going great...but for majority of people they don't really know why.

I agree. I think all these "female factors" had a great impact on this past years activities and awakenings.

13. Who remembers that note shrub supposedly passed to Condi?
It went something like, "Iraq is sovereign." (Condi) And he "spontaneously" wrote back, "Let freedom reign." Obviously it was supposed to be "Let freedom ring".
