McCain a "maverick"?- defending DimSon on ABC
Saying the congresspeople briefed on the wiretaps didn't raise objection to the practice, except for Nancy Pelosi-

Also says that though he has no assurances that the Bush administration believes his anti-torture amendment bans waterboarding, he trusts them.

Some maverick- he makes his fellow pukes look like wild-eyed revolutionaries

2. He is party first
Mavericks will not defend questionable activities. There are a few, but McCain isn't one of them.

3. Ron Paul, Chuck Hagel, Dennis Kucinich
are mavericks. John McCain is not.

4. He is a maverick. Neither side likes him. I know for a fact
that "they" see him as a RINO. He and Lieberman could run on a RINO/DINO ticket.

6. I disagree about McCain though.
He is republican first or he would question more than torture and would not continue to make excuses for the blatant abuse of power.
