What do you DUers do to keep your head from exploding on a daily basis?
Because the deeper I look into stuff, the more my head explodes?

:banghead:

Ben Stein says George Bush's legacy will be a peaceful one...Christian ministers advocating NYCs position on the WTA strike, all the overt and covert corruption in the Bush misadminstration, etc.

no DU, no AirAmerica, no Cable news for the entire day.

I end up feeling less angry but uninformed sooooo I always watch KO's Countdown to fill in the gaps.

I have thought for a few years now that "I cannot get more outraged than I already am" AND I've been wrong.

editted for spelling

20. Humor.
Somedays, it's all I can do to find the humor in the situation, but as long as I can find something ironic or humorous in a situation, I can retain my sense of balance. In many ways, it's my only defense...

23. I go NUMB.
Adopt an attitude of total hopelessness. Because the Murkan Sheeple think EVERYTHING is the fault of "Them Lie-Boo-Ralls" and will continue to elect Neo-Cons because they look like they'd be fun to have a beer with.

I will continue to vote for whatever my party throws up the flagpole, but until public perception changes, we'll be expending more energy on the "War Agin' Jeebus-Mas" instead of looking into how a bunch of Nixon left-overs lied us into a war.

29. I have to be honest ...
I have no way of stopping it, it is just a part of my daily routine.

I have just gotten used to the routine, head explodes, take aspirin, get towel, wipe my neck, pick up the pieces, clean up the mess, regroup and go on.

I fear that I won't know what to do on the day that it doesn't explode, routines and all that. x(

31. I do these things:
1. NEVER turn on TV news.

2. Scan headlines and articles online and in the newspaper to get the general gist of a story, and then move on without wallowing in angst. It's not a surprise; putting neocons in the WH guaranteed this shit would happen. Put the focus on getting them out.

3. Avoid discussions, online and face-to-face, that consist of impotent ranting or despair. Search out constructive conversations with actual actions to take. Then take them.

4. Look for politicians and potential candidates who are willing to speak truth and take action to oppose the destruction of America. Support them by donating, campaigning, spreading the word, and voting for them.

5. Withholding all of the support mentioned in #4 for those politicians who don't have the courage to oppose anything at the time, and then suddenly join the fight after the fact.
