16. the logic
Sometimes I don't like how I feel towards another person but than I remember all he's done.

Might that "another person" be "B?"

If so, remember this:

With Bush, we make peace through war.

An increase in the daily suicide bombings" Well, then, “This shows that we’re making progress and that freedom is taking hold, our enemies are getting desperate.” --b

"We don't torture..." means, well, you know.

Up is down and right is left.

It is, therefore, honorable to hate bush.

with the homeowner to see if my (our) interpretation is different than intended.

20. Hey, neighbor! -- Let me know what you think after you see it!
Also, PLEASE don't go on this rainy, icy Sunday night! I couldn't sleep Saturday night, because I have a tree near my house and the wind was howling through it. The tree's branches are scratching on the house gutters. We gotta do some pruning of that tree, but not in winter! The tree was planted too close to the house by the landscaper, and it was all done before we took ownership.

18. So you don't think anyone should see this photo?
Should I send it to others in the media? What was the intent of the occupant of that house when he/she climbed on the roof and arranged the lights? You can see it from a major roadway here in Oregon.

I'd send this to Saturday Night Live (Weekend update), Leno, Letterman, Bill Maher (for next season), Craig Ferguson, Conan O'Brien...all of the late night comedians. They've been really doing a number on the rat bastard lately. It's worth a shot, IMO.

Thanks for the post and the great picture!

44. Wow. I never thought about that.
Consider this...if a reporter stumbled across it and decided to air it, do they need permission? I don't know. You wouldn't think someone would line their roof with bright lights if they didn't want it to be seen. Just my 2 cents...

Peace.

50. Well, I am conflicted. Some DUers PMed me that I might be subjecting
this resident to Bush & Company reprisals if I discuss the photo's location -- or widen this into a national media spotlight.

But then, isn't it a sort of public issue if you've got the message right up there on your roof?????

You'd think I was some kind of Saudi woman, all in black, with only eyes exposed. One of my former jobs involved pretext interviewing for a detective agency. We worked for insurance agencies settling malpractice and worker's compensation claims. I went into bad neighborhoods all the time.

I was doing a surveillance in an all black neighborhood in Boston. I remember some black gentleman coming up to my car. The conversation went something like this: "Hey, woman! You're white, and sitting in a WHITE CAR, too! Woman, don't you know? You're a sitting duck for criminals! And you're here on a December night at 6PM, in the dark. Go home to your white family in the suburbs!"

Hope nobody got hurt in the effort! (My husband fell off a 30-ft. ladder while trimming trees in 1995. He broke his left arm so badly -- broken wrist, compound fracture of the elbow (bone came through the skin). They thought they might have to amputate it. However, he survived after an 11-hour operation and has almost full use of the arm and hand. It's a surgical miracle.)

blitz, which can be done quite easily. (I've done it many times before.)

Someone may want to use this for their newspaper or TV show.

I just want to believe I'm respecting the owner's right to privacy.

Any suggestions, AzDar?

Anyone want to volunteer?

Kick this for the evening crowd -- and tomorrow morning (we're supposed to get icy rain in Portland Sunday night and Monday morning 12/19). That puts me right here for the evening and early morning.

Some reporter has to knock on this person's door to get a story. I want to respect this resident's right to privacy -- but he posted his sign in such a prominent place.

What's a former PR person to do?

Not exactly.

Somehow, I knew you'd pick up on that duplicitous double sounding what is it? Homonyms? Sound alike but spelled differently? (Body versus bawdy.)

Bawdy... now that's a word I don't use too much in polite conversation. It's kind of Elizabethan or Shakespearean as I recall from drama class so long ago. I think that was when the dinosaurs ruled the earth...
