Watching tape of Bush's speech about terrorism
and the danger of people dying from terror attacks on America and wondering if it could be any worse than watching the people in New Orleans die from neglect...

2. Watching them die in New Orleans was worse
because we know that just 5 short years ago, it never would have happened. Clinton had appointed real disaster relief people to a disaster relief agancy and it functioned well. Using it the GOP way, as a dumping ground for the least competent cronies demanding political favors, killed people and it was entirely avoidable.

Terrorists will do what they will and the best we can hope for is to slow them down. That really isn't much under our control. Disaster relief WAS under our control and it worked.

And that made it worse.

4. Do any of W's supporters realize this or care even in the slightest?

5. I watched New Orleans in disbelief and horror for
how many days? It left me with a feeling of betrayal.

The World Trade Center was over quickly and like you said New Orleans wouldn't have happened on Clinton's watch. To me, Bush's speech wasn't very effective.

6. Oh yes, Bush and his Boogey Man.
Who's the Bad guy of the week? Notice, they always change. One week, It's Usama Bin Forgotten. Then, it's Al-Zarkawi, next Al-Sadr, next Hugo Chavez, next Ahmadinejad, next Kim Jong Il.

I know them all because I've heard it a million times.

7. They know he's in big trouble...
and they sent him out to read that speech to try to put the blame (spin the issue) on the media for the leak. Don't be talking about the illegality of what * did, just continue to be afraid and think that what he did was in our best interests. The problem, they want you to think, is that you found out about it. Can you imagine what other secret decisions they've made?

This seems to be an impeachable offense. No American is above the law, as Nixon learned.
