“Mystery illness kills Missouri soldier”

The first of many I fear! I saw this story on the local news last night. For those that are so inclined to pray, this family could use prayers for comfort, strength, and wisdom. Mr. Neusche appeared very downtrodden when he vowed to get an explanation to prevent other soldiers from suffering the same fate.

I think exposure to the estimated 1K to 2K tonnes of Depleted Uranium used by the US would be a good place to start an investigation.

Clips …
Missouri National Guard Spc. Josh Neusche, 20, died Saturday at the Homburg Hospital in Germany from a mysterious illness.

"He's always been healthy," Mark Neusche said. "Hell, he's a cross-country runner. There's no reason for a boy of his health to deteriorate so quickly."

"I know the doctor over in Germany said he got into some type of toxin," Mark Neusche said. "Several soldiers were in similar conditions while we were there."
So far there has been no hint of an official inquiry.
"That's not under investigation," said U.S. Army Spokesman, Lt. Col. Jeff Keane, from Virginia.

1. This is so sad

Before the war started I researched depleted uranium extensively. It is almost beyond belief what we have done to Iraq with these weapons. And now it is backfiring on us, killing our own soldiers.

But do bush and cheney care? No conscience, no cares.

2. the troops are supposed to wear masks when

they are in bad air, either from fires or explosions. and to do nose swabs every so many hrs. some time ago I read a report by a military Dr. who was upset because this wasn't being done. (don't have the link)

and recently I made a post telling how Clinton made a law/regulation? that the VA was to see to it that our troops wouldn't be exposed to this kind of thing anymore after GWI veterans are, to this day, suffering and dying.

Can officers be charged with neglect that leads to death?

3. Were they supplied with those masks?
And did the masks require replacement filters? If so, were those provided? (I have a feeling the answer is no.)
