Something from Maureen Dowd's column about Bubbble Boy
In her column in the NYT today Modo has this quote;

"As Newsweek noted, a foreign diplomat "was startled when Secretary of State Rice warned him not to lay bad news on the president. 'Don't upset him,' she said."

My wife pointed out that this is a perfect example of the behavior in an alcoholic family. The women around him are enablers, and the priority is not to upset Dad or he'll get mad.

And they called Clinton "trailer trash".:eyes:

2. So I guess things are so
f**ked up in this country that the fact that we have a dry drunk as Pres. doesn't even register. Very sad.

3. I guess he can't handle the truth.
That Rice would actually articulate that to a foreign diplomat is troubling. It sounds like she is protecting a fragile monarch who really doesn't understand very much let alone actually do anything but give pompous, pontificating speeches, take airplane and helicopter rides, and try to ride a bicycle.

4. on a similar thread today, I wrote:
The United States of America is not a toy to ENTERTAIN him or to PLEASE him. WE'RE NOT ALL HERE TO KEEP HIM AMUSED AND QUIET.

And, BTW, your wife is exactly right, edhopper. Whether or not * is actually an alcoholic is beside the point--he has the behavior of one, and instead of making a single family dysfunctional, he's making the entire executive branch of government dysfunctional.

5. wanna buy the brooklyn bridge?
so rice warned a 'foreign' diplomat not to 'lay bad news' on the overworked, overstressed, over anxious president eh....why, he's so intent on doing a good job he's not hisself, is that the idea? it's got nothing to do with illegally seizing power, or promoting outright criminals to the top of the heap, or getting poor old usa in a stupid war against a tiny little 3rd world country that never threatened us WASN't ABLE to threaten us! moreen dowd is a proven liar and bushevik goofball, newsweek is a criminal run organization...and WE ARE IN TROUBLE! so fukk this bs ok.......
thanks for posting the edhopper. the enemy is relentless and quite shameless in terms of playacting sincere and naive and oh so innocent.....bush doesn't matter, has never mattered; if not him, the fascisti use someone else ...maureen dowd has shown that her hatred of the people is total, otherwise she wouldn't tie up media time/energy on bs....
bubble boy!...omg
