Bush is lying again! "We did not choose to go to war, Saddam did."
WTF Evidently Saddam did comply with the demands of the international community since no WMDs were found and it was the US that ordered the inspectors out of Iraq so that the bombing could begin.
HTF does the media and the Dems keep allowing Bush to get away with these outright lies?

6. "I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq," Bush said
"I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq," Bush said, even though much of the intelligence "turned out to be wrong."

So he is saying both things today?

23. Yeah, but he says it with a smirk
It's like he gets up there and lies, and smirks because he knows he's lying, and that nobody is going to call him on it, and he can get away with it. I hate that smirk.

9. It's really appalling. The bald-faced lies spew forth without cessation.
Over and over and over he repeats the same outright lies. "Saddam didn't comply." "Saddam ejected the inspectors." "Everything changed on 9/11." "We're at 'war' in Iraq." (It's an illegal occupation, not a 'war.')

10. Why doesn't someone ask Bush, when he mentions WMD's, where...
...Iraq got the WMD's used against Iran and against his fellow Iraqis? If he was wrong to use them wouldn't his suppliers have been wrong as well? If a junkie is caught with drugs and is willing to tell the police from where the drugs came, aren't the police obligated to pursue the supplier as well?

Certain topics mentioned by Bush should require a throat-clearing 'ahem' from whomever he is speaking to, followed by the actual truth. Whenever he mentions the budget, a statement informing readers that the costs of operating in Iraq were not included. Whenever Social Security is mentioned, that 'ahem' needs to be followed by a statement telling folks that Social Security funds are still being incorporated into the larger budget, to reduce the larger-than-reported deficit. Whenever the Iraqi use of chemical or biological weapons is discussed, it needs to be said that we sold them to him and congratulated him on their initial use, so to speak.

The list of corrective 'ahems' is large.

I posted this in a different thread but it applies here.

He has made slight revisions in his act. The "saddamist" word is now part of the daily hit parade.

13. No one considers the minor detail that Saddam complied in 2002.
Rumor has it he even offered to step down through an intermediary diplomatic channel. He seemed to want to avoid the invasion, but clearly, we weren't taking no for an answer.
