CIA SABOTAGE MANUAL
Points to ponder as we read this:

1. Does anyone still not get that the U.S. government is often (usually?) as much "the terrorists" as are those whom our government accuses?
2. Anyone still wonder why Latin American countries aren't just really in love with us?
3. Does it never occur to stupid U.S. government people that stuff like this can ever so easily be turned against THEM?
4. Does anyone still believe that our government--at least, under the current filthy administration and under its predecessors such as the Reagan government--doesn't do ALL the same down-and-dirty things that it accuses certain other governments of doing? (Note: I am a former Reagan fan.)
5. This is of course a Reagan-era U.S. government document. And we now know that the same gang that were sorta kinda punished during that era, are now in charge of certain key parts of our federal government--if not of our WHOLE federal government.

"WHAT THE FREE NICARAGUAN CAN DO IN ORDER TO TIE DOWN THE MARXIST TYRANNY

"All Nicaraguans who love their country and cherish liberty--men, women, young and old people, farmers and workers alike--surely ask themselves what they can do with the means at their disposal, in order to participate in the final battle against the usurpers of the authentic sandinista revolution for which the people of Nicaragua have fought and shed their blood for so many years....(snip)

"The following pages present a series of useful sabotage techniques, the majority of which can be done with simple household tools such as scissors, empty bottles, screwdrivers, matches, etc. These measures are extremely safe and without risk for those who use them, as they do not require skill, equipment, or specialized activities that attract attention to the doer....(snip) As mentioned before, the techniques found in this manual correspond to the stage of individual sabotage, or at the most cellular--with cells of no more than two individuals--of the clandestine struggle..."

What follows is an illustrated booklet with ideas such as "Don't do maintenance work on vehicles and machines", "Come late to work", "Delay in completing tasks", "Throw tools into sewers", "Leave water taps on", "Spread rumors", "Leave open the corral gates on state farms", "Plant flowers on state farms", "Telephone giving false alarms of fires and crimes", "Damage books", "Cut cables of alarm systems", "Put nails on roads and highways", "Cut down trees over highways", and easy instructions for making Molotov cocktails.

Now, I know we had the Nicaraguans' best interests at heart. We were just trying to bring them freedom and democracy, you see. At times like these, I get tears in my eyes, thinking of the greatness of my country under our stalwart leader George W. Bush. "From every mountainside, let freedom ring!"

For more fun CIA reading, be sure to look up "Operation Northwoods". That one was targeted right at... us!

2. "Damage books" Must be what the matches are for.
Repeat after me: "A thousand points of light. A shining city on the hill."

3. Yeah--really! Um, I think the matches were to light the Molotov cocktails
(or... do those things need lighting...?)

I mean, I think the matches were for lighting fires that were intended to harm people, not just books!

A thousand points of light. A thousand dead Nicaraguans. A thousand burning Afghan bodies. A thousand dead (fill in the blank with nationality of those in the latest country whose business we've gratuitously stuck our nose into).
