Max Baucus' New American Rennaissance.
Why is Max so hellbent on sending our jobs to China? I've watched this man speak on this several times this year and find my self wanting to just clock him by the time he's done. Yeah, our lot is improving year by year by "staying the course" on this one. This worshipping at the altar of competitiveness without regard to fairness is killing us. Jeez, Max, just take us to the top of the pyramid and hold our still beating hearts out to the gods.

As it exists now, free trade does not benefit the American worker. It simply turns him/her into the American Consumer while sapping his/her income.

1. I see you're a big Conrad Burns fan
Free trade may hurt you, but by and large it helps an agricultural economy like Montana.

4. Don't know who Conrad Burns is, but I am a fan of
common sense. Common sense tells me that when the only jobs I can get pay less than the one that was shipped overseas, then I am worse off. Common sense tells me that stores full of trinkets and doodads produced overseas are not a fair exchange for the higher costs I pay in utilities and other necessities in life. Educating other work forces is of no benefit to my community or my nation when funds for education are stripped from our public schools and we are told that we are to produce more scientists and engineer with a curriculum passing off intelligent design as scientific methodology. Common sense tells me that if we do have a huge natural or terrorist disaster in this county, we will not be able to recuperate without having to rebuild whole industries and sectors of the economy. Common sense tells me that if all the nations of the world really wanted to teach us a lesson fast, they could do so by calling in all the debt we have. Common sense tells me you don't run a household or a nation in this way.

5. Conrad Burns is the other MT senator (a republican)
Because that is the kind of guy that Montana would elect if it weren't for a moderate like Baucus.

2. For many years now Max has been
a Repuke - he does not get it yet; that the Governor of his RED state is a Democrat; Max has not yet learned how to speak back to his masters in the GOP

At one time, he was a shining hope - now he is just another DLCer -
