Iraqis exiles voting for Iraqi Parliament in the United States.
??????????????????? WTF? If this isn't illegal, it damn sure should be. Bush is manipulating foreign elections on U.S. soil and in plain sight. Building that bridge to Iraq becoming the 51st state? Who knows what the hell the Bush administration is up to. How the hell are the Iraqis gonna "stand up" on their own when the U.S. keeps giving them that crutch? Vietnam is doing alright after the American occupation left. They didn't spiral into chaos, bringing the entire world down with them, like... like... like so many dominoes. The United States has a sick dependant relationship with Iraq. U.S = abusive, oil drunk, wife beater.

1. i saw something interesting on the news
apparently if you were born here but both your parents were born in iraq you are eligible to vote, seems a little fishy to me.

3. Guess what? If you're parents were born in the U.S. and are
citizens, and you were born in a foreign country, you are a U.S. citizen and, thus, can vote in U.S. elections. Does that sound fishy???

9. Dual citizenship is a quite common concept.
In the U.S. and outside of the U.S.

11. Hmmm...
Then why is it that Mexican children born here are US citizens while their parents remain Mexican citizens? There is always a big hub-bub when the parents are illegals and are sent back. I know of at least one Southern California business that was put in the name of the baby so the business would be legal.

My grandfather had duel, Canadian/American citizenship. He was born there, became naturalized, but remained a citizen of Canada as well.

2. We have always allowed U.S. citizens living abroad to vote in ..
U.S. elections. I am confused why you want to disallow Iraqi citizens living abroad this same right?

7. The question is: are they US citizens or
Iraqi citizens? If they are still Iraqi citizens, then by all means, they should vote. Let me be succinct...IF THEY ARE US CITIZENS THEY SHOULD NOT BE VOTING IN AN IRAQI ELECTION!!!!! I hope I made myself clear.

12. Dual citizenship is not due to birth...
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1753.html

Although you can claim "blood right" citizenship if one or both of your parents were born in another country, it doesn't look automatic to me and does not pertain to all countries; each country has it's own rules on such things.

10. Because Iraq doesn't have a legitimate government.
And Bush is propagandizing and manipulating this election to give it an air of legitimacy.

6. One of the voting locations is a mile from my house (N Burb of Chicago)
The feeling is that these are people who genuinely care about Iraq. As always it's the every day people who suffer at the hands of politicians. The voting process in the States seems legit and being taken very seriously. As the people involved have great concern for their fellow countrymen during this time of chaos.

peace.

13. Do they get a voters pamphlet?
Seriously, I am wondering what kind of election material is available as I would like to see some of it. Is there anywhere to see what the parties platforms are or candidates postitions?
