is the cornerstone of democracy -or so says Thomas Jefferson. I think he is right. Furthermore, to function in an advanced nation and be a productive member thereof, one is required an education. College is what high school once was.

Amazing how this poll is split as it is. Ignorance must truly be bliss.

The state/fed should handle education through high school, but after that, college aid should be harder to get....and competitive.

My angle is that primary/high school education should be 10 times better than it is now. Evenly. For everybody that walks in the door. You shouldn't NEED a college degree in order to qualify for a good paying job.

BTW: I have a college degree...so I'm not sour graping.
