Confusion Sets In: "it's ok to kill the guy who now does good, but BAD to
pull the plug on on the brain dead chick who's been in a coma for a decade."

Granted, tookie did some bad, bad shit, but why not let him continue his life in jail doing the good his life lead him to, after all? No, no, no! KILL HIM! KILL HIM!!! BAD GANGSTA!

But hey, preserve the lifeless body of the brain dead coma chick, at all costs!

I'm just sayin'.... anyone else need a slice of hypocrisy alongside that slab of dazed and confused?

1. pretty twisted, isn't it?
Obviously Arnold had to do the politically expedient thing; he's just a whore like the rest of the Republicans. I am totally opposed to the death penalty. It's isn't that some people don't deserve to die but who are we (the state I mean) to make that decision? As a potential juror, I could never vote for the Death penalty. If I was wrong in convicting someone and they eventually died because of it, it would be like I pulled the switch, you know? I am mostly opposed to it because of that: What happens if we are wrong? I don't see how it benefits society either- it doens't reduce crime at all. It is not justice but vengeance.

I do believe there is a lot of hypocrisy in wanting to save Terri Schiavo, though she had effectively been dead for years, while at the same time calling for the execution of anyone.

2. I have to agree with you, RadWriter...
It makes no sense at all. The "pro-life" party really isn't.

3. some people are so fearful
of gangsters, minorities, etc, etc, that they feel that individuals who fall into these groups can never change, will always be dangerous. It's sad, very sad.
