Recent indictments, current investigations and insider reports have intensified the scrutiny of the Bush Administration's conduct that took the nation to war in Iraq. Every day, Americans ask more questions about pre-war intelligence -- and the answers are troubling. We've reached the lowest point since Watergate in terms of the openness, honesty, and credibility of our government.

Incredibly, in the face of this mounting criticism, the White House claims that Congress had access to the same pre-war intelligence the Administration did. That's categorically false. Key documents -- including the relevant Presidential Daily Briefs - were never seen by the Senate and are still being withheld.

More than ever, the American people deserve answers about the war in Iraq. That's why I'm introducing an amendment in the Senate to require the White House to release certain relevant PDB's on Iraq to Congress. Join me now and call on the White House to cooperate with the Senate investigation and provide these documents:

This White House has made keeping secrets from the American people a priority, and that has to stop.

The indictment of presidential advisor "Scooter" Libby shows the lengths the Administration is willing to go to cover up the truth. It's an indictment of their distortions about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, their shameful actions in leading us into this misguided war and their vindictive efforts to discredit anyone who tries to disclose the truth.

The cover-up has to end. The American people deserve to know the truth about this war America never should have fought.

The high costs of the war, particularly the devastating human loss, are only made worse by craven efforts to cover up the truth about the war. Our nation deserves answers -- not more cover-ups -- about how and why we went to war, and why we were so unprepared to win the peace.

The White House is desperately trying to stonewall the truth and block any credible Senate investigation. Join thousands of our fellow Americans, and tell the White House to release the documents and let the Senate do its job:

The US Congress DID NOT HAVE the same information that the White House did. Bush denied access to all but a handful of his own allies in the Congress. I am a US citizen and I am aware of this fact. This is the United States of America, the Bush Administration is lying and the GOP run Congress is covering-up for them. There is NO transparency with the Bush Administration, there are NO checks and balances thanks to the GOP partisan hacks who currently make up the majority in this cover-up Congress. What a racket. I never thought America would come to this. How disgusting. How sad.

75. White House Refused Petition

Our team on the ground in Washington just called with news about today's delivery. The White House refused to take the petition -- but that didn't stop them. They fanned out and flyered Lafayette Park, across from the White House, the local subway station (it's called a METRO there) and took Senator Kennedy's message straight to our fellow citizens. A few even said they would take some extra flyers home and mail them to friends.

That's activism for you: pounding the pavement, adapting to obstacles and getting the truth out to Americans who need to hear it. This type of work takes resources, though. As we plan for the next year ahead, it's important to have a strong budget for more advocacy.
