Bush in Denial ---pix->>>

Embattled US President George W. Bush, pictured here giving a speech in
Phildelphia, denied that living in the White House 'bubble' of security,
policy advisers and political strategists had left him out of
touch(AFP/Mandel Ngan)

1. He looks terrible
His eyes look vacant and shrunken. Doesn't his nose look as though it has lost its sharpness too?

9. Now THAT's a contrast!
I saw the top pic and said to myself, that looks like a young Jan Michael Vincent. I remembered what he looked like on "Airwolf."

Then I saw the bottom photo, and now I need to go stick a knitting needle in my mind's eye.

5. Hey, Georgie -- the "bubble" includes the White House ...
That Time profile posted on another thread implied that Bush has been wandering into various rooms in the building, asking people for ideas. I guess he doesn't realize that everyone he meets that way has been carefully screened! (Kind of like when tourists wander around a cutesy tropical resort, thinking they are mingling with the locals, when really the entire place is owned and managed by a company, and the people in costumes are employees ...)

10. I believe that the poultry is looking for it's perch.

The man is so far in a bubble that it is not funny, he speaks before screened crowds as his
young republicans pretend to be secret service and kick out anybody that has the wrong bumper
sticker before he talks, he does not read papers, and reacts with anger to anybody bringing him
bad news.

Iraq, Katrina, corruption, and the economy are catching up w/ him. I just hope that the stolen
election gets to him too. He has lived a sheltered life and has been protected by Daddy, loyal
thugs, and his Saudi money men.

11. He isn't living in a "bubble of security."
He's living in a bubble of self-delusion.
