Bush in his Iraq speech in Philadelphia:

"In a 1998 fatwa, Osama bin Laden argued that the suffering of the Iraqi people was justification for his declaration of war on America. Now bin Laden and al-Qaida are the direct cause of the Iraqi people’s suffering."

It works unless we confront it and continue to knock it down. Didn't he concede earlier that the 'rejectionists' or Iraqi resistors were the main source of insurgent violence?

1. He keeps saying that this is the center of the war on terror
The Iraqi people will never be able to have their own Democracy as long as we are there. Muslims consider the middle east their holy land. We are killing Muslims good or bad they find this wrong. We are causing this to be the center of the war on terror. The best thing we could do is to stand back after elections.

5. He says whatever is put in front of him
He fumbles without a script.

Our aggressive posture there has alienated any fringe of moderates that could have helped bring parties together. We support one side now with our military, those opposed either resign themselves to our junta or they are driven to violent expressions of nationalism which our false authority disregards as threats to our consolidation of power and influence.

4. In history books still to come...
...next to the Monroe Doctrine, and the Truman Doctrine, will be the Bush (II) Doctrine:

"All Moslems are fungible.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Osama bin Laden may no longer have operational control of his terrorist network, the U.S. ambassador to Pakistan said Monday.

Ryan Crocker said bin Laden can not communicate with his followers because he likely is hiding in a remote area, Pakistan's Geo Television and state-run PTV reported after the ambassador met with local journalists.
