Texas Voting Map Challenged, U.S. Supreme Court Will Hear Case
The United States Supreme Court will decide a challenge to the controversial congressional redistricting map in Texas that was strongly supported by former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

The justices will review a ruling by a federal three-judge panel that upheld the 2003 Republican-supported redistricting map. The Texas Legislature adopted the redistricting plan after calling three special sessions.

Texas Democrats and minority groups tried to stop approval of the redistricting efforts at the first two sessions by leaving the state and denying Republicans a quorum.

3. I had no confidence in the USSC overturning this when
SD O'C was still on it, and I have less now. Why do you think the D's fled the state in the first place? Because neither did they.
