The one that's got so many folks upset. It's not just the dem sites that are flying it. Visit powerline, hugh hewitt, captain's quarters and polipundit. They're flying the very same ad.

An ad by MSNBC for a show they are doing about porn. From what I gather, it's the neon lady that everyone is upset about.

and was obviously designed as a finger in the eye to liberals, especially women liberals.

You doubt this? Read the text! The show is supposedly about women in the suburbs buying porn on the family computer. How many women who like porn watch it to look at NAKED WOMEN????

Get real. Maybe a neon "package" would have been more appropriate to the content, but you'll never see that. Once again, it's a crass use of a female body to sell something unrelated.

There you have it. It's tacky. It's crass. And yes, we noticed.

15. It may be tacky but I'm also an adult and it doesn't bother me.

The mud flaps and decals on trucks with the same style images are also tacky but I don't go around to the drivers telling them to remove them because they're tacky.

BTW, I'm also an adult female who tries to live by the code 'to each their own' as long as nobody is physically hurt.

I wouldn't have seen it if not for all of the hoopla and I went looking for it. I just don't see ads on the internet anymore, unless they are flashing or bouncing or some such thing.

Were you given a choice of graphics to use in the ad in question?

On edit: The graphic doesn't bother me but it seems like others are offended by it, that is why I asked.

When we accepted the ad, it was for an entirely different story on MSNBC. I think it was a picture of a plastic husband and wife from the top of a wedding cake.

The folks who bought the ad change the graphic each day. After their porn expose runs on 12/14, then they're going to swap in another graphic for some other program. It's likely to change a few times before the week is over.

entire world they selected porn for their experiment, and all of the images they could possibly use for this topic, they choose the mud flap.

Well, they know best. It's their job to know what and how to sell.

I guess the image and subject cross all dividers as far as interest goes. More so than any other in the entire world. A teeny tiny bit pathetic. No?
