TIME's Photos of the Year. #18 is my pick "Heading Home'
Edited on Mon Dec-12-05 01:25 PM by underpants
Sorry it is in macromedia7 so I can't post the picture itself.

Very Norman Rockfell type shot-actually looks like a painting.

Katrian, Earthquake, and Tsunami pictures mostly.

3. I wonder what they thought was going on
Edited on Mon Dec-12-05 01:32 PM by underpants
I wonder if it was announced that a Marine's remains were on board and being taken off, do they do that? Anyway it is a great shot.

ON EDIT-the caption says that they are looking on and on second look it appears that they could see what was going on as the casket would be rolled off onto the carrying vehicle.

19. Sad.
Just sad all the way around.

I guess sad and amusing (as to human nature) at the same time. Just makes one shake one's head.

4. "Heading Home" captures 25% of total votes
It's the faces at the windows that creates the impact of the photo.

12. Nah, it's easy.
Hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard when you have the photo onscreen. Then go to MSPaint and hit Edit -> Paste. Then just use the rectangular select function to "cut out" the part of the screen you want and click Edit -> Cut. Click File -> New to open up a blank image and hit Edit -> Paste.

:hi:

11. Tragic year
I voted for Fighting For Life, the woman in Darfur. But so many were heart wrenching, it's just been an awful year.

I hope that son of a bitch Bush is proud of the democracy he's spreading at the barrel of a gun.
That is an absolute disgrace! That soldier paid the ultimate price for Bush's folly and this is how he/she it treated.

20. I saw your other post this morning
It's just fucking despicable. I'm going to print it out and shove it in the face of every goddamned moran who tells me things are going fine over there and we never hear the good news coming from over there (and trust me, in our neck of the woods down here there are a lot of those assholes).

How do they sleep after telling parents to head to baggage claim to pick up their kids' dead body??????? Fucking bastards!

It pisses me off beyond belief, but really it upsets me to the point of tears.
