3. So Democrats are just to blame for taking
money from this man as Republicans. I don't think this will hurt the republicans now as much as it will hurt the Democrats.

7. It's not merely a matter of taking money, it's what they did in return.
The NRA, for example, gives out a lot of money but it's not all bribes; some of the recipients actually agree with their positions. The same with some of the donations from Abramoff's clients. We don't know if the recipients were bribed into positions they didn't ordinarily have or if the tribes wanted to reward those who were doing something good for them because they wanted to. Why don't we find out more details before we assume this looks as bad for Democrats as for Republicans.

8. But my understanding is that Abramoff's lobbying firm dispensed the money

9. I think that, in the case of some of the tribes...
they made some donations on their own.

10. Ah But you see that doesn't matter to the Nazi-media.
Democrats took money from Abramoff just like Republicans so that can't be so bad. That will be the spin from the Nazi-media.

4. Whores, all of them for taking filthy lucre
I am so disappointed with our party leadership, and how they accepted so much from this charlatan. You truly have to stop and think about the decisions they made (make) because of the money. Patrick Kennedy seriously disturbs me. To take so much from this piece of shit. I am positive he will not go unscathed. The RNC will try to knock him down as their own are forced to resign over this lousy affair, especially Burns and those toads Hayworthless and Hastert.

5. Damn!! Patty Murray is my senator and has been a good one.
A helluva lot better than DLC Cantwell. I hope she doesn't go down because of this.

11. That is what has me scared. I'm just across the river in
Portland and I like Patty. She is one Great Senator. She fights for the veterans and for the people of south Washington.

12. I think DUers should wait for details of causes from each of the
people on the list.

Were value causes mixed in with rotten ones?

Duers are artful at figuring out what stinks and what hurts the people. Wait for details.

What doesn't make sense is that no one seems to deny that the tribes were encouraged or pushed to give to Republicans.

Do we have an entirely different graph for private contributions that Abramhoff also managed?

If we lose Kennedy, Reid, Murray, and the others, it will be for the good in the end.

Our country needs a great big wake-up call and it looks like the guts in this mess are going to come out and not be that difficult to understand if left to investigative journalists and bloggers who are not typical MSM White House bed partners.
