I Sound Like A Broken Record: What's Up W/ The Abu Ghraib Photos/Videos?!
Good Morning.

Can we PLEASE finally see them released already?

I've been out of the loop for about a week. Anyone see anything on them lately. I want them NOW. COULD, really SHOULD, (but probably won't but WOULD certainly add to the pressure), bring down the Bush administration.

Grr...

The wheels of justice grind slowly, but...
Truth will out.

2. Here's the latest:

ACLU says next deadline in Abu Ghraib photo case is Dec. 15
RAW STORY

A judge could rule on whether to order the release of new photographs from the U.S.-run Abu Ghraib prison anytime after Dec. 15, an ACLU spokesperson told RAW STORY.

The 144 photographs and four videos, which have been seen by New Yorker journalist Seymour Hersh, are alleged to contain photographs of U.S. servicemembers involved in raping detainees, possibly underage. The photos and videos are in addition to an earlier set of photographs already released.

The Bush Administration has successfully blocked their release, first saying they needed time to anonymize those engaged in illicit behavior, and then seeking a permanent block, arguing the photos could endanger troops and civilians overseas

That was just something I scanned in passing in a thread here, and I don't recall what information it was based on. I'm with you: where are they already?

4. Seriously, do you think that the court's telling these guys to release
the photos and the videos mean anything? They'll just file another appeal. The cannot afford to have Joe Sixpack see this shit. Anymore than they can have the truth about any and all of the schemes and crimes come out. Ain't gonna happen.

5. I agree. They make up the rules as they go along, so these
pics and videos will probably never see the light of day.

7. I agree that the truly perverted and warped fundie supporters will get
their jollies seeing them, but anyone with one ounce of decency and a brainwave pattern will be outraged. The pictures of My Lai and the naked Vietnamese girl running down the road had a horrific effect on the American public.

10. What if
what if the pics and stuff are released and bring about more casualties to the troops becuase it pisses off the insurgents more? would that be worth it?

personally I dont think so. just punish whoever was doing the torturing.
