1. That is so sad.
Such a sad story. i can't imagine having to go through that and make such a choice. Still, there have been, granted few and far between, cases in the US where such 'mercy killing' was deemed justifiable. Thus, no jail time or criminal record.

Of course we only hear about those cases in the US where people are bawling for blood letting.
