And the favorite Christmas movie of Republicans everywhere has to be 'Die Hard.'

I watched it the other night and I have seen it many, many times before. This time it had a whole different meaning to me. So many parallels to our situation these days. I don't want to start a "flame war" here, but..........did anyone else SEE the John Kerry "type" in Jimmy Stewart's' portrayal as I did? I've always loved Jimmy, in all of his movies. It may have been his stature, and the way he carries himself. The "raw" charm and engaging smile. Even the way he speaks reminds me of Kerry. Did anyone see him in Mr. Smith goes to Washington? Remember his speeches? Maybe this is why I'm such a Kerry fan ( in addition to his integrity and intelligence! ) Someone tell me that they saw the same similarity, please?

It's a Wonderful Life is pretty damn liberal also.

You know why? Because the true values of Christmas; charity, forgiveness, generosity, love of your fellow man, these are all LIBERAL values.

Along the way, God kills a gay steward, a Jew, a hooker, and an angry Christlike leader with a nasty Messiah complex, who cusses out The Lord. Amen... er, The End. (OK, so it happens on New Year's Eve -- but they do have to climb up a Christmas tree!)
