A comprehensive shredding of the Rep/Dem reasons to continue the war

Check out this chart and find responses to the excuse of the day...

There is absolutely no good reason to continue this war.

We can’t abandon the Iraqis
We’re Liberating Iraqis
Civil War
Bush: No timetables for withdrawal or the terrorists will just wait us out
Our troops want to stay
We’re making great progress
We Must “Support the Troops”

There's also a flyer(with Murtha) to print for educating coworkers

http://benfrank.net/

his tag line is . . .

Prisons for profit, Health Care for profit,
Schools for profit, War for profit...

Is this what Thomas Jefferson and George Washington had in mind?

that would be a great motto for the Democratic party . . . monetizing EVERYTHING is a sure recipe for social disaster . . .

6. that would be a great motto
This is one of my favorite sites on the web. Besides the blog, the main site has all kinds of pictures, music, t-shirt graphics etc. Check out this rollover of orwellian bush policies...

3. A question for everyone:
What do you think about the elections coming up in Iraq? No matter how you feel about Bush and the current administration, aren't you a little bit excited about their first elections for the Iraqi people?

4. They have been having elections for decades and they were every bit as
legitimate as the ones they are having now. Tell me how you think Iraq is better off today than it was in 1990?

8. I will become excited when I see something to excite me
Elections in Iraq are not that thing. They were the most Westernized nation in the Mideast and every district had elected officials. Many were Christian and in fact the Second in Command after Saddam was a Christian. It was a Secular Society. I don't see that as the case any longer so No I am not excited about the goings on in Iraq at this moment. I believe the elections are fixed and will not make the people any freeer than they were under Saddam. He was a brutal man but he kept an open society where women were considered equal to men in all areas. That is not true now..

7. republican/corporate media talking point??
The Iraqis have already had a couple sham elections, nothing to get excited about. For some reason they didn't even know who was on the ballot, and then it took over a month to count the votes. The US has installed a puppet government that now holds fake elections. The Iraqis should be so happy.
