Have you noticed that the message of peace and goodwill
to mankind has been missing this Christmas season?

I wonder why?

2. Because there is WAY too much animosity in the air
and on ALL levels. We have to get this stuff settled soon. Maybe 2006 election will channel some of the fury. On our side anyway.

5. I think the terminology that has been adopted,
"the war on Christmas" says it all. We are at war with everything. Just shut up and pay your taxes, give your children up to a Crusade, because Jesus, the Prince of Peace, has become a warrior.

10. I just don't want them to get away with what they've done
so much that I think holidays are a distraction from our task especially when said holiday lasts for about three months!!!

3. The "War on Christmas" was used as a smokescreen so no one
would notice that peace on earth and good will toward men seem to be missing. Instead we're actually have DEBATES over whether or not torture is appropriate. Unfuckingbelievable. :(

6. Yes, it's all about war. No matter where we turn.
And I am almost ready to do war to them, I am that angry.

4. We surely need it right about now.
It's gotten lost with endless self-serving distractions from the neo-con fascist fuckwads.

8. Oh I listened to the stories of the survivors today on C-Span.
I hope these stories never die and keep going on and on until they can't ignore them anymore.

9. Yes, we lost to all intents and purposes
my favorite US city. And all the GOP and other fuckhead lamebrains are going about their hateful rounds as though nothing has happened.

12. I can give you a small bit
from the ancient Latin words of the Gloria:

(from the angels to the shepherds)
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis.

(Glory to god on high.
And on Earth, peace to men of good will.)

Happy Holidays, which ever ones you celebrate.

13. garrison last night on phc
had a great monologue on christmas that basically said that christmas used to be about joy and celebration because the times were different. life was much harder back then and christmas was the one time of the year they could celebrate the goodness and joy in their lives...now he thinks we have lost that feeling because of the time`s we live in now we take to many things for granted and expect to much...i know that i do not face what my parents and grandparents faced in their daily lives and that maybe one of the reasons the joy and celebration of christmas seems to be lacking in my life. the relentless commercialism and the attack on christmas bullshit from the Pharisees is really starting to really sour me on the christmas spirit and that is what really pisses me off...

14. Maybe I should put rum in my hot chocolate
to get that holiday feeling. It would take a lot of rum though. And I don't drink anymore. I will instead try to commune with Nature during the Solstice!

15. peace and goodwill do not truly represent
Edited on Sun Dec-11-05 11:35 PM by IChing
The concept of christmas for hate week,
We have to hate the people that want war against Christmas
didn't you watch the latest on the telescreen?

Peace is not a reality when you want war and hate, even in the name of the prince of Peace.

"Never do anything against conscience even if the state demands it"

" The world is a dangerous place not because of those that do evil
but because of the people who do nothing about it"

Einstein

A dog is not considered a good dog because he is a good barker.
A man is not considered a good man because he is a good talker. Buddha

simple words
Peace and goodwill towards man.

Nice post for those of us
that celebrate Peace and goodwill towards man first
and not a religion.

Thats just a bunch of Commie bulshit anyways!:sarcasm:

To me, conservatives seem to think that "peace" and "goodwill" are bad words. It's somewhat strange and disgusting. It's as if the mere mention of these words means that you are weak and won't fight for America. But as you look at the programing on FAUX and see Oliver North's WAR STORIES, it makes sense. They are trying to de-sensitize us to war, so why would they mention peace?
