a. Defender. "Merry Christmas" is not a birthday reminder. It's wishing someone personal joy. (The giveaway is the word "merry".) Which religion exactly has a problem with this concept?


b. Protestor. This is a "war" imagined by fundamentalist chestnut-stirrers who need to hate something even during the season of peace. "Happy Holidays" is simply the most efficient way to cover Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanza. and New Year's.

c. Victim. JFK sent 2,000 White House cards, Nixon 40,000, Clinton 400,000, Dubya and Laura over one million -- and I still didn't get one. I don't care what the thing says, I just want to make the list.
