"60 Minutes'" Mike Wallace's son is an idiot. Sad.

Apparently conserative family values no longer include respecting your parents. Sad.

From the uber-conservative tabloid Newsmax:
"Fox News Sunday" anchorman Chris Wallace says father Mike Wallace has "lost it" - after the legendary CBS newsman told the Boston Globe last week that the fact George Bush had been elected president shows America is "-up."

"He's lost it. The man has lost it. What can I say," the younger Wallace lamented to WRKO Boston radio host Howie Carr on Friday.

"He's 87-years old and things have set in," the Fox anchor continued. "I mean, we're going to have a competence hearing pretty soon."

Wallace Jr. quickly dispelled any notion that he was joking. When Carr suggested that his comments were likely to be covered by NewsMax, he responded: "You know what? Fine. Go ahead. Call them. That's fine. I'll stand by that."

4. I'm happily surprised at Mike Wallace

My opinion of Mike Wallace was never really very high. I used to think he was a sexist.

Meredith Viera (from The View) had a very tough time when she worked for 60 Minutes. Most of the correspondents from 60 Minutes are older people who have grown children.

And they did not understand that Meredith Viera wanted children. And once she started to have her children, she was determined to not just dispatch them to a nanny.

Some of the male correspondents for 60 Minutes would have a serious attitude when she would take off to take her son to the doctor, or bring him into the office.

So, I'm happy to see that Mike Wallace is right on at least one issue (Shrub).

In the express terminal of the Pittsburgh Airport, shook his hand, blah blah, long story short, its a fucking crazy country when someone who has been in the media as long as he, doesnt have the right to an opinion. By the way for my money, the interview he did with Clint Hill, the Secret Service Agent, is one of the most compelling TV bits ever, in it Wallace says "There is nothing that you Clint Hill could have done that day" While Hill sobs. Wallace had a reputation for the "gotcha" interview, that night though, he knew just what to say.
