Barack vs. McCain?
Barack: Young African American Male
McCain: Old White Male

Barack: Engaging Speaker
McCain: Monotone and Boring

Barack: Speaks for all Americans
McCain: Speaks for the right, and sometimes the middle

Barack: Anti-War, Anti-Bush
McCain: Pro-War, Pro-Bush

Barack: Loving Husband and Father
McCain: Loving Husband and Father, but let his family get attacked by the man he now loves

Barack: Should get votes from most minorities, all Democrats, and half of the independants (%60)
McCain: Should get votes from all Republicans, half of the independants, and all racists (%40)

-----------------------------------------------------------------
From Scarborough Country-->

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10381687/page/2/

SCARBOROUGH: ... We don't agree on everything, but the one thing I think all of us can agree on is, this country is divided right now.

After eight years of Bill Clinton and eight years of George Bush, I think a lot of Americans are going to be looking for people that can bring the country together, just the divisiveness. And it just doesn't matter whose fault it is or isn't. We have got to come together as a country.

FRANKEN: Barack Obama.

SCARBOROUGH: Barack Obama? John McCain, baby. ... All right. Thanks so much for being with us. Greatly appreciate it. The book is "The Truth With Jokes." Thanks so much, Al, for being with us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I know it's early, but the importance of winning the WH in 08 still matters. I think Barack is our next Bill Clinton; without the extra baggage.

McCain is old and out of touch with most Americans. He seems good now, but I think many more people could relate to Barack Obama.

Obama/Clark sounds good for 2008...

1. Nice sentiment, but Obama has only been in the Senate for 2 years.
Reverse that ticket and I could enthusiastically support it. Obama is young. He's got time.

3. Barack has time, we don't!
Sometimes you got to go for the unproven. This is a time to go outside the traditional, a time to win over those who are unsure. It's a time for radical measures, Barack is just such a man!

5. I disagree...
If our best option is Barack, then let's put him out there. What happens if McCain wins in 08' and '12, and then some energizing Republican comes up that we can't beat. Would it have been worth it then?

I've heard many Republicans say that they love Barack; they just wish he was a Republican. That tells me that many, if not most, independants would love him AND vote for him.

If we have the option in 2008, I think we need to take it, but...

I would also take Clark/Obama.

7. That kind of thinking got us stuck with John "I'm so boring" Kerry.
He was the "most experienced", and I truly think he got the nom because people thought he'd earned it somehow.

We all saw how that worked out.

Meanwhile, the Republicans have fallen in love with "no experience/no paper trail" guys like Bush, that ass who beat Fritz, the new Chief Justice for god's sake...

Sigh.

2. My friend interviewed Obama in 2004
and pronounced him a total dick. Really arrogant (my friend is black so this is not a racist remark.) with a virtually lily white staff, at least those who accompanied him to a fundraiser in Minnesota.

6. is mccain a bible belt conservative?
I dont get the feeling that hes married to the anti choice anti stem cell crowd, that would be a good shift for america if the repukes nominated mccain.

8. So, does that mean you'd be okay with McCain?
I just think that we need to put up someone that would expose McCain as old, out of touch, pro-war, pro-Bush, and all of the things that are wrong about Republicans. I think Barack could do that; even if was a jerk to someone's friend.

9. I am a Dem through and through
But I would rather have them run Mccain than say Bill Frist. If they ran Mccain I would still be behind our candidate one hundred percent however my ulcer wouldnt be kicking and screaming as much as it did in 2004 when Shrubya stole the election again.
