What bothers me about McCain's and Lieberman's
recent behaviors........

I think most of us agree that Lieberman's "over-the-top" defense of Bushco and the rumors being Rummy's replacement are unusual even for Joe.

And McCain? McCain abandons his "maverick" persona and becomes the most neocon of all neocons and gives up any pretense of being moderate or even trying to appeal to "moderate" voters.

What's going on here?

What doesn't make sense to me is that both Lieberman and McCain are supporting (and quite enthusiastically supporting at that) one of the most unpopular Presidents in the history of the United States. McCain obviously harbors ambitions to become President, but Lieberman is looking only for a "legacy" entry on his resume. Nevertheless, it makes absolutely no sense for either of these two to attach their respective futures to Bush*'s fortunes. And yet, they have done so in a big, big way.

I've been around politics for many years and I've seen things like this only on very rare occasions. It reminds me of what happens when somebody gets an "inside tip" on the stock market. They buy with both hands and throw caution and advice to the wind. They buy with abandon because they have seen the future and know where to place their bet. I've seen people do this politically when they have "inside knowledge" of something big about to break.

That's how these two are behaving right now.

Both McCain and Lieberman have been given inside information of something that Bushco and his merry band of crooks is going to do or have already set into motion that will raise Bush*'s poll numbers and make him so popular that the rest of the Republican party will rally around him to let his popular coattails drag them into office.

The question is: What were they shown?

Why do they think Bush will regain his enormous popularity that he possessed right after Sept 11, 2001?

What has KKKarl planned?

1. Maybe when McCain runs for prez in 2008, Lieberman will run with him for
vice prez, to pick up a few "Democratic" votes.

3. I thought about that
but rejected the idea....

If somebody threatens or blackmails you, you'd most likely slink off quietly and try not to present yourself as a target. It is less likely that you would enthusiastically endorse the person(s) who threatened you.

No...this is more like enthusiastically pursuing a promise or reward.....
