14. Too seasonal...
...It's a cute idea, as far as unprincipled money-making schemes go, but I think it's too seasonal and time is too short this year to make that much out of it.

I'm sure the creators of these bracelets want the War on Christmas hysteria to drag on for years to come. That's sad.

12. I am not even a Baptised Christian - and I am a better Christian
then the "operationjustsaymerrychristmas" charlatans

I am a Progressive Liberal, ACLU, Progressive Club, walked precincts, manned phone banks, the whole 9 yards.

Faith wise I have one foot in Reform Judaism and the other foot in Unitarian-Universalist.

But - going back to my Active Duty Coast Guard Days (when I stood watches for my Christian ship mates during Christmas, Easter),
*I will be at the top of the Red Cross phone list for local disasters from 12/16 until 1/2/06, and
*I will also be volunteering at one of Bill Frist/HCA's local hospitals.

I wish these fundies would get off of this. As a Jewish person - I am a better Christian then the people selling those bracelets.

17. I read a story once,
wish I could remember where, but it was about a town somewhere in New England that had a "best Christian in town" contest, and the winner ended up being a Jewish businessman. And, it seems that his neighbors didn't know until they awarded him the prize that he was Jewish.

20. The same place we are borrowing money from...
to give the wealthiest among us a tax-break...I wouldn't doubt that one bit. Remember those WWJD bracelets? (What Would Jesus Do?)---I dare say that Jesus wouldn't sell, buy, or wear any "Jesus Junk." Lot of profit to be made on religion, though.
