Illness from exposer to smoke
does anyone else get like splitting headaches and stuff when around cigarette smoke? practically my hole family does (including my girlfriend) and i was wondering if anyone else does too? i ask this as sort of a spin off to that other smoking thread, where i posted

"not only me but my girlfriend, my sister, and my father get sick while being around that stench, and the 20 feet thing or what ever is smart... don't have that here and every time i walk outside i get a lung full of smoke.... also theres sometimes a little that drifts into my window from the doors outside. for the people close to me its a potential, immediate health problem, and frankly, their health trumps a person wanting to light something put it on their lips and breath in, what ever that does for them i don't care, it stinks, it makes them stink, and it gives me a splitting headache."

1. Absolutely.
Add to that list sinus infections, stopped-up ears with temporary deafness and an actual smoke hangover (meaning, I'm not drinking but I feel hung over the next day).

2. not from smoke,from perfume!
It gives me the most awful headaches.
There are stores I can't go into at the mall, for fear of perfume sprayers.

3. frankly i would to one of two things
either one punch the perfume sprayers in the face (they should know better)

or accuse them of being a terrorist (again they should know better)

you dont just go up to someone and spary unknown stuff in the face of a total stranger, thats how people get hurt.... manily the sprayer :p

6. eh...
it just came to me, we could arrest people for reading an islam book at the library but not for spraying substances in a public area like a mall?

7. Yeah, if I stand by a bonfire or go into a person's house, with pets
I too, get irritated. Let's ban pets and bonfires.

Prohibiting smoking outside is fascist.

11. I'll thank you to not make my health your concern
look, I can see having smoking and non-smoking sections, but the whole smoke-free thing is bogus political police state tactic.

12. sense when?
Edited on Thu Dec-08-05 09:34 AM by evirus
sense when did i ever imply that smoking be completely banned, hay if your in your house fine by me but when you are in public places you are potentially effecting peoples health, which as i stated before, trumps your right to do such a ludicrous thing as smoking

i have my own opinions and as you can tell are radical but they are my own opinions and the only thing that can change them is my girlfriend and currently, she gets sick around smoke so...... tough luck
