With proud2blib, knitter4democracy and Bridgit Burke apparently eager for me to leave DU, and others expressing thanks that I am here, I'd appreciate some feedback on whether I'm evil incarnate or a contributor to these forums.

I simply want to get a sense of whether my presence here is a contribution or a detriment to the purpose of this board. I'm getting both messages.

The 500-post mark seemed to me to be a good point to assess this matter.
