1. as a former flight attendent,
I'm glad there are air marshalls! We need more.
Sorry that crazy guy was killed, really awful, but
when you run around saying you have a bomb..........
whatyagonnado?
but I have to say, It's not the ones that run around screaming
that you need to watch out for, it's the quiet ones in the back
of the plane.IMHO

2. ok I'm glad I'm not the only one.. I'm a flight attendant and if he did say
he had a bomb then i feel sorry for his wife but...
if i had a guy acting out of his mind and saying he had a bomb i would hope that the air marshalls would jump up and do their job...
but i want to make sure i know all the details..
i have had many air marshalls on my flights and they NEVER move.. even when pax are being asses and screaming about seats or overhead bin space... they don't react until they see a threat...
so who knows..

3. As a former AA employee...
(Lost my job because of 911) I was not surprised he was shot. You just don't mention a bomb on an airplane. That is going to get you in trouble every time. It's sad, though, of course, and it is too bad they couldn't just wound him.

And also, selfishly, my first thought was, "Why is it always American Airlines?" Prior to 9/11 it was just the greatest place to work. After that it was just sad and frustrating, wating for the other shoe to drop.
