Invasion of Iraq, was an act of terrorism by US - Pinter

Harold Pinter says it all!
(2005 Nobel Prize winner for Literature)

Excerpt:

The invasion of Iraq was a bandit act, an act of blatant state terrorism, demonstrating absolute contempt for the concept of international law. The invasion was an arbitrary military action inspired by a series of lies upon lies and gross manipulation of the media and therefore of the public; an act intended to consolidate American military and economic control of the Middle East masquerading – as a last resort – all other justifications having failed to justify themselves – as liberation. A formidable assertion of military force responsible for the death and mutilation of thousands and thousands of innocent people.

2. Absolutely right on!!!
This is so true.We are trying Saddam for war crimes from the 80's that this country suppied the weapons for and we had no right to invade Iraq or put their ruler in prison. That would be like Iran or Iraq coming here and locking up Bush.
As if????

4. It's not to say i don't support his sense of ideals though
Hello Everyone, It's not to say i don't support the fact that he's an anti-war kind of guy. I just didn't understand a word he was saying on that nobel prize site :). It just didn't make alot of sense to me so i just shut it out and moved on. When something i'm reading doesn't make alot of sense to me and needs clarification i generally rule it out and move on. I need clear facts, clear, clean, clarified facts, stuff that i can understand, something that is very well written that someone like myself who is autistic could understand :). I know it's not much to ask but all i ask is for a well written paper. My IQ is in the range of 106-109 and i'm pretty good at writing papers, but when it comes to understanding papers that are written with blatant results i have a hard time grasping it :(. So anyways feel free to drop me a line, I'll favor any anti-war protester, for they are all honorable ones. Even a democrat who believes the war was a lie and that it was all for naught and that the Republicans will pay for their sins. So anyways that's all for now. I hope to hear from you soon, good luck in all you do.

Signed,
Greg

6. "The 2,000 American dead are an embarrassment."
"They are transported to their graves in the dark. Funerals are unobtrusive, out of harm's way. The mutilated rot in their beds, some for the rest of their lives. So the dead and the mutilated both rot, in different kinds of graves."

8. I have the video and text up here in Flash and WMV

I have the video up (I converted the RealMedia file) into Flash 8 and downloadable as a WMV file from here

http://www.chris-floyd.com/pinter/

It's a tribute page of sorts. Please spread the word. It's important that people see this video or read the speech and they are both on this page.

Cheers
